The J3 Reduced Tudor Company

On Friday 1st May Mrs Egan’s english group put on their assembly about the Tudors. They called themselves the “Reduced Tudor Company” as they told us about the entire Tudor dynasty in just 30mins!

Charlie G took the part of Henry VIII who in the song we sang was “a big fat man” and his six long suffering wives in order of marriage Catherine of Aragon, the spanish one (Katherin G), Anne Boleyn, the unlucky one (Lucy L), Jane Seymour, the favourite one (Abigail K), Anne of Cleaves, the ugly one (Daniel H), Katherine Howard, the naughty one (Matthew L) and Catherine Parr, the kind one (Isabella W).

They were aided by a cast of thousands (well 12) who played the parts of cardinal Wolsey (Toby K), Henry VII (Matthew C), William Shakespeare (Freddie C),  Prince Arthur (Luc Stephens) and narrator Rishi L.

The role of Queen Elizabeth I was played by Jack D whose red wig and dress was greatly appreciated by the audience and Joshua B played evil Mary I to perfection. Sir Walter Raleigh (Jacob R) and Sir Francis Drake (Jack L) told us about the Spanish Armada led by King Philip of Spain (Robert W). Edward VI was plkayed by Mubashir Z.

We sang Greensleeves which was written by Henry VIII throughout the production and Karim K led us in a prayer to finish. The children all did their own research into their characters and had a terrific time.
