If you go down to the woods today…!

Top Infants have been learning about the history of teddy bears. They recently enjoyed a visit from Mrs M Smith who makes teddies. Mrs Smith showed the children a variety of fabrics and features from which she makes her bears. They all thoroughly enjoyed seeing and cuddling Mrs Smith’s delightful bears!

J2’s master bridge builder

As part of science, design & technology J2 have been studying the strength of 2D and 3D shapes. Their challenge was to build a bridge made from paper and art straws. It was to span 30cm and carry as much as possible. They discovered triangles and cylinders were extremely strong. Abby F won the class challenge. Her bridge took 1.6kg before it gave out!
